A Web 2.0 Developer’s Guide to Web 3.0

Over the past couple of years, I’ve tried to leverage my engineering background with the following statement:

“Learn how the things you invest in work and invest in the things you know about.”

This has led to some good, high-conviction investments in technology I knew about at the core. Likewise, I’ve made an effort to learn about the technologies I blindly invested in at first. Eventually, I was led down one of my greatest learning journeys yet when I decided to learn how cryptocurrencies worked at the core. After studying layer 1(Ethereum, Bitcoin, etc.) whitepapers, I recognized the fastest way to get involved would be to master the concept of “smart contracts” via learning Solidity.

My background in software engineering made learning syntax extremely easy, and with the help of this great course and some finance knowledge, I found a new discipline that brought together more interests than ever.
